This pattern is very nice and can be used at almost every clothes, with thin or thick threads, for hot or cold season. You could crochet linear or in the circle. The pattern has 2 different faces. On one side, the bar stitch looks continuous and twisted.
The Abbreviations:
Chain stitch (ch), chains (chs)
Single crochet, sc (US)
double crochet, dc (US)
triple crochet, tr (US)
The Foundation:
Make chains multiple by 5 plus 2.
1dc in 3rd ch from the hook, dc in each ch until the end. turn.
Note
Bar^: a bar is a stitch that join two rows. Crochet one tr over two rows, by insert the crochet top in the middle of 3 stitches over which jumped and separating the petals.
Here are two pictures with this stitch that join the foundation row with R2
R1: 2 chs, 1 dc in first dc; * 3 dc in 4th dc (first petal), 1 ch, 3 dc in next dc (second petal); repeat from * until remain 4 dc: skip next 3, 2 dc in last dc. turn.
R2: 2 chs, 1 dc in first dc, *make a bar^ (please see the note with explanation of this stitch), next work between the petals, in 1 ch space, <3 dc, 1 ch, 3 dc>; repeat from * until the end; finished with a bar^ and 2 dc in top of 2 chs from previous row.
R3: 2 chs, 1 dc in first dc; continue to work only between the petals, in 1 ch space <3dc, 1 ch, 3 dc> until the end (without the bar stitch); finished with 2 dc in last dc. turn.
R4: repeat R2
R3&R4 compose the pattern. Repeat them until the desire length.
