The pattern:
The directions are for US st.
In a ring: ch1, 3 sc, * ch 3, 3 sc; repeat from * two more times, join with sl st into first sc.
R2: sl st in next 2 sc, sl st in ch-3 space, <ch 3, dc2tog, (ch3, dc3tog) two times>, *<dc3tog, (ch3, dc3tog) two times>, into next ch-3 space; repeat from * two more times, join with sl st to first cluster.
R3: sl st in next ch-3 space, (3 ch, 2 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in the same space as joining, 2 ch, dc3tog in next ch-3 space, *2 ch, (3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in next ch space, 2 ch, dc3tog in next ch-3 space; repeat from * two more times. sl st in top of ch-3.
R4: sl st in each of next two dc, sl st in next ch-2 space, (3 ch, 2 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in the same space as joining, 3 ch,*( dc3togin next ch-2-ch space) twice, 3 ch, (3dc, 3 ch, 3 dc) in next ch-2 space; repeat from * twice, finished with (dc3tog in next ch-2-ch space, 3 ch) twice and sl st in top of ch-3.
R5: sl st in each of next two dc, sl st in next ch-2 space, (1 ch, 1 sc, 3 ch, 1 sc, 3 ch, 1 sc, 3 ch, 1 sc) in the same space as joining, *<3 ch, (1 sc, 3 ch, sl st in 3rd ch from the hook, 1 sc) in next ch-3 space> 3 times, 3 ch, (3 ch, 1 sc, 3 ch, 1 sc, 3 ch, 1 sc) in next 3 ch space; repeat from * twice and finished with (1 sc, 3 ch, sl st in 3rd ch from the hook, 1 sc) in next ch-3 space> 3 times and sl st in first sc).
